Economical Way to Make a Map Wall

I used this book to do the Map Table a couple months ago.

They have these books for every state and I think for countries as well. They only cost $17 each.

I framed up a few more maps to hang at our summer house, focusing on the beaches and Chesapeake Bay area of Virginia. You could event frame the entire state.

Map Table - From Trash to Treasure

My friend found this table outside the dumpster, so I don't guess she was technically digging. It's one of those modern, probably inexpensive tables from a chain furniture store. It was stained a very dark brown.

I painted it white and painted the panels a sage green.

I then decoupaged maps onto the four panels.

The table is at our summer house on the river and the maps are of the rivers that lead into the James River and the James River where our house is.

All these maps plus about 60 more where in a Virginia topography book that I paid $17 for. I also framed the coastal area maps. But that's a post for another day!
