I Don't Really Like TV Trays

I grew up in a household where if you ate, you did it sitting at a table. My mother almost died when the boy next door came over one day for lunch and took his plate and plopped down in front of the TV.

My in-laws gave us these TV trays years ago. I've left them out in the rain, left glasses full of water sitting on them, and still they are in my summer house.

So I decided I'd fix them up a little bit with spray paint. I love spray paint!!!

And of course I couldn't paint them all the same color.

Hi, I'm stopping by from the Shabby Chic Cottage party. Love the fun and fresh tables and that you used more than one colour. Very cool. I'm sure they will come in handy for get togethers or relaxing outdoors too. Thanks for sharing.

I came over from The Shabby Chic Cottage because I had to see a TV tray makeover. My boyfriend has one that's still hanging around from his college days and I've been eying it for a makeover for a little while now. Thanks for the inspiration!

I have some to but don't ever use them. This is a great idea though. I think I will paint mine.

What fantastic colors! Will the spray paint make them suitable for outdoors as well? (PS - You have a beautiful blog! I'm your newest follower.)

Now those are really cute!! We too never ate in front of the T.V. -- we did have T.V. trays but they were only used if we had a holiday gathering, party, etc. and people were not seated at a table but scattered around the house! Great job on these!

I love these. They would make great side tables for using on deck. I'm going to be looking for these when I go to garage sales. Found you on Stories of A to Z. Thanks for sharing. Visiting from Laurie's Little Bits of Creativity, etc.

Angela, I absolutely love what you did with your TV trays! They look beautiful in the different colors and it's great the way they all get racked together for storage. How wonderful to have such a charming set of little tables on hand to add color and table space to any party or get-together!

So wonderful to have you be a part of "A Little Birdie Told Me..." Tuesday at Rook No. 17. I hope you'll swing by and join the party again this week!

I grew up with dinner at the table even if it's soup and grilled cheese sandwiches (that was my mom's idea of an easy dinner). At 81 she is still an amazing cook. I hated TV trays too but now I want to find some to fix up. They would come in handy as extra tables around the house. Your trays and the colors you choose are sooooo cute! In Swedish it would be called snook pronounced snewk). So snook!
