What happens when a preppy girl buys a farm? She learns how to care for her family, two goats, too many chickens and the latest addition of some bees. All this while still trying to remain the preppy girl she's always been.
I hope you enjoy my creations, recipes and photos of living on the farm.
It's that time of year on the farm when new baby chicks arrive. I have ordered chicks through the mail before which is quite the experience.
These little boys and girls came from the local Tractor Supply. They are all Ameracauna, which means when the girl chicks grow up they will lay the colored eggs: blue, green, pink. That's how they get the nickname Easter Eggers.
Martha Stewart made these chickens famous on her television show, showcasing her own Easter Eggers.
